Contacting the target audience

To get in contact with the target audience to see if they would like the concept of our idea for the music video we're going to create, I decided to make a twitter account.
I followed the majority of people that followed The Archetypes as this allowed me to see who their target audience are.

From looking at the display pictures of the followers, I could see that the target audience are people that enjoy a quite heavy type of music. They all have quite an unclean look (festival goers).
Also quite a few indie music professionals follow them, so I also decided to get in contact with them, to hopefully gain a more experienced target audience response.

I made the display picture an image of the band. I did this so the audience would know the profile was something to do with the band, and would have more interest in what the posts would say.

I created a general tweet to send to the target audience. I wrote a brief description to what I was tweeting out, and then linked the videos of our test footage and the pitch we sent to the archetypes.

The image above shows the tweets I sent to the target audience.

I also looked on SoundCloud to see if I could gain further knowledge about the target audience.

From looking at the followers that The Archetypes had on sound cloud they had an alternative fan base. I could see this as they didn't go for the stereotypical 'popular' look. They all seemed to look quite chilled and relaxed, wearing cut off shorts and dark non designer t-shirts.

After looking at the audience for The Archetypes, I could see they had a broad audience range. From looking on both Twitter and Soundcloud I could see that The Archetypes had an audience of both male and female, the ages ranged between 15 to around 40, this shows they have a diverse sound.
